In your role as a Technical Solution SalesRepresentative (internally called a Solutions Architect) supporting Red Hat, you are the technical expert and advisor to our clients, sales teams and/or Business Partners.
You understand the client’s business/technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and combine this with your knowledge of Red Hat offerings to present solutions that drive value for clients. You’ll need to have cloud-native thinking, technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level. · Through continuous personal development, you will become a subject matter expert and act as an influencer and trusted advisor to your team, our clients, and our business partners
· Collaborate closely with account managers, solutions sales specialists, and inside sales associates to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
· Drive sales process continuation and excellence.
· Deliver pre-sales solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concept engagements that articulate the business value of the proposed solution
· Understand Red Hat’s points of view, the competition in the market, and know how to position Red Hat’s unique value proposition
· Lead solutions enablement for your team, as well as share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your experience
· Apply technical and sales knowledge to create and deliver proof points to assist with deal progression and closure in order to achieve revenue targets
· Driving client satisfaction such that clients become promoters of the IBM solutions
· Keep product knowledge up to date and articulate value proposition/ROI, based on your understanding of the competitive landscape
· Share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work.
This role is based in Austin, TX – IBM in-office Four (4) days per week. (MON to THU) and Friday Remote Work.
· Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering or technology consulting
· Ability to interpret and articulate customer business and technical needs
· Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures
· Proven knowledge of UNIX, windows or Linux based systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift and Ansible)
· Experience with configuration management and running own demo environments preferable o Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Chef, or other related or similar technologies.
· Sales Oriented Process and Customer Direct Pre-Sales
· Strong English communication skills are required
· Results-driven, collaborative team player attitude
· 2-3 Years of experience in a technical presales or support role focused on DevOps, cloud computing, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) technologies
· Knowledge of key technologies in DevOps, including Linux containers, container management, security, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tooling
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud-based technologies and platforms, with an understanding of how they can be leveraged to design and deliver client solutions. • Knowledge of Emerging Technologies: Experience working with emerging technologies, such as AI, blockchain, or IoT, and understanding their potential applications in client solutions. • Understanding of Industry Trends: Exposure to industry trends and market analysis, with the ability to apply this knowledge to inform solution design and sales strategies.
